The Mediation Network of Syracuse

     The Mediation Network of Syracuse is an agency that seeks to assist individuals, groups, organizations, communities, systems and political units through direct service, consultation and training in the use of the mediation model to resolve differences.  It is the network's belief that all individuals possess mediation skills as an inherent part of the socialization process, but that these skills are underutilized and devalued in our present society.
As a result, an enormous amount of energy is consumed in adversarial conflicts interactions which do not lead to mutually-satisfying solutions. The natural tendency of persons to avoid conflict fosters inappropriate use of the legal and therapeutic communities which further complicates the situation rather than resolving it.  We believe the mediation model is an efficient means to better manage our differences.

The Mediation Network of Syracuse maintains a panel of mediators from which a mediator will be assigned.
All available therapists are certified are certified and qualify for insurance benefits. Mediation itself, however is not reimbursable by health insurance programs.
