About The Director of MNS

     Ronald W. Heilmann is an accredited mediator and past president of the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation. He is also an Association For Conflict Resolution member and has been practicing mediation for 20 years. He earned his Masters Degree in Social Work from Indiana University and, for the past 33 years, has been doing Individual, Couple and Family Therapy.
    Much of Ron's professional experience as a mediator and therapist has been dedicated to helping family members adjust to the severe disruption that divorce causes. By helping families reorganize - minimize emotional trauma and fostering better healing for all family members.

The Mediation Network of Syracuse maintains a panel of mediators from which a mediator will be assigned.
All available therapists are certified are certified and qualify for insurance benefits. Mediation itself, however is not reimbursable by health insurance programs.
