Personal Note From MNS Director

Thank you for taking time to read this extensive information and the suggested links.  We hope it has been helpful. Mediation is a relatively new profession and we welcome the technology that gives us the opportunity to pass along vital information in an efficient manner.   We believe strongly in mediation as a legitimate alternative to the court process.  Unfortunately most still seek relief from the court system and pay a dear price in so doing.  We still need the court system as the background against which mediation derives has derived it’s present identity.   More and more however, mediation is fast becoming its own system and perhaps one day will stand completely independent of the court system and truly be another alternative for individuals to work out their differences.
MNS has been around since 1983 and we have developed a good reputation in the Syracuse area, the culmination of more than 500 case experiences.  We hope the next 10 or 15 years will help us develop even more expertise in the field of mediation.  We are convinced we are well tooled and on the cutting edge of a discipline which will become more and more the option of choice.  Resolving issues in a more and more complex world will have to be more efficient.
Except for our families, nothing gives us more rewards than being involved in this activity.  We love our work and feel like we are really making a difference in our community little by little.  We welcome your inquiries and thank you for your interest in The Mediation Network of Syracuse: "helping people in conflict create their own mutually acceptable solutions."
