ABOUT ADDICTIONS
I do not work with people who are actively addicted and not in recovery.  This work takes more resources than I have at my disposal.  However, I am very interested in working with people who are recovering from their addictions and are interested in taking on psychotherapy to heal the other aspects of their personalities.  This is particularly true for those who want to move onto intimate relationships after stabilizing their own lives.  It is my sense that moving onto intimate relationships after recovery is the most challenging endeavor for formerly addicted individuals.  I love working with this clientele.
