Family Business Mediation
Our experience with divorce mediation has brought us in close
proximity to family businesses. While settling the divorce issues we have learned that
mediation can be of very significant help in resolving business issues which include
family relationships. While it is always important to keep business, business and family,
family experienced family business people know this is not always possible. The confluence
of business and family issues makes efficient resolution of conflict critically important.
Both business and family need to survive, making it a necessity to resolve difficulties in
a mutually satisfying way. Mergers, buy outs, partnership agreements and modifications,
interpersonal disputes, extended family problematic relationships and most importantly,
transition plans to pass the family business on to the next generation are all typical
